Custom Text Using WebTags
« on: January 11, 2016, 07:32:41 AM »
Hello all - I'm wondering if someone can explain if it's possible to create a custom txt file that uses web tags inside of it inside a cumulus folder? My goal is to access that txt file at time with another program and it would have current wx conditions in it in a form that could be easily read (instead of the string of numbers that is in the wxnow.txt)  Thanks for any pointers on this one!

Yes - add it to the 'extra files'. Put the full path and name on your PC of your input file (the file with web tags) as the local file, and the full path and file name on your PC of your desired output file (the file with actual data). Select 'process' but don't select 'ftp'.

Thanks - I'm not sitting in front of my computer right now...but is the "EXTRA FILES" another folder inside Cumulus? Where's that process check box?

It's a tab on the internet settings screen. The 'process' box will be obvious when you come to look at it.
