new here,

My PWS is LaCrosse WS3610, uploading to WU  via  WUHU direct from serial ,
(ie Heavweather is not running).

Uploads are set for every 300 seconds. Rapid Fire is not enabled. That all seems to work fine.

Then I added the station's weathersticker embed to a web page I run,
and I had the page open in a IE browser window  here at work.

IT just called and said its averaging  1 hit/second. Is there a tweak I can make,
such as the freq parameter? Needless to say I've removed the code from my webpage.
Here is that  embed code provided by WU, with station name snipped:

         <object width="290" height="130"><param name="movie" value="http://www.wunderground.com/swf/pws_mini_rf_nc.swf?station=K<snipped>&freq=2.5&units=english&lang=EN" /><embed src="http://www.wunderground.com/swf/pws_mini_rf_nc.swf?station=K<snipped>&freq=2.5&units=english&lang=EN" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="290" height="130" /></object>

Thanks.

The amount of traffic it generates is minuscule. Does your company have a strict acceptable Internet usage policy that forbids all "streaming" content?
