Hello, I'm new to the forums here and becoming sorta a weather nut
! I have a Midland WR-100 that is about 2 years old. This is the second Midland that has messed up on me. During the last round of storms we had, it didn't alarm at all. When I pressed the weather buttons all the channels had a high pitched tone, no static. After researching online, it seems this is a common issue with this radio. With 3 children in my house, I want something I can count on. I don't think I will get a Midland again. I would like some advice on which radios to look at. I don't want to spend a fortune, but I want reliability. Through some reviews, I have seen the Sangean CL100 mentioned several times. Is this a good one? All advice welcome. Thank you!
