So, you are saying the Oregon WMR300 cone is a direct replacement of the Davis VP2 "aero" cone?

i said to Sinan months ago get one he doubted me on this he gave me that turkish tut :-) but there you are proof in the pudding as they say , the rain base on the wmr300 is an exact replica of a vp2 and dive inside the temperature sensor area easily upgradable to a SHT31 no problem .. this weather station gets negative press because of oregon's lousy support and lack of  available options but seriously at the price we got ours for, there is nothing comparable and here in turkey support don't exist for neither oregon or davis so we judge it on its performance in the real world ..i guess most dealers wont promote this as an option for wmr300 for legal bureaucracy..brian

kolay gelsin sinan ...:-)

If the tops aren't the exact same diameter, it will need re-calibrating.

they are the same
the Chinese are very good at copying (and getting away with that)
the OS WMR300 is being discontinued though, and being replaced by the WMR500 by the looks of it (and not sure how compatible that is)?
