VP1 datalogger compatible with latest VP2 console ?

Are the old VP1 serial dataloggers (2001) compatible with the latest VP2 console hardware/firmware ?  Just trying to save $100 or so  :-)

No, but if you contact Davis they will send updated logger I've been told free.

Contact Davis it was what they were doing with the older loggers when customers purchased new VP2's, but this was couple years ago and policy can change. Only way to know for sure is call and ask.

Davis will exchange your old datalogger for a new one for $80 plus shipping.

So it appears you may be better off buying from a member who makes them rather than exchanging your old one?  You might check out the buy and sell thread and other threads here from other members who have bought from them.
