How did you set up?
« on: June 16, 2019, 01:00:01 AM »
I just got a new vp2 pro plus with fars.
Wanted to put anemometer on the roof so i got an extra wireless transmitter.
I am sure many of you did they same.
How did you configure the iss vs the extra transmitter?
Did you use the same channel or did you use different channels?
Asking as on console i get all data, but on weatherlink app i dont see the wind data...same as what is getting transferred to WU.
Please let me know.
Thanks,
P

Anemometer comes with 40 feet cable so you may have not required the anemometer transmitter? All depends on locations and distances.

The anemometer transmitter ISS requires a unique Tx ID to be set. The console then needs to be set to read the anemometer on this separate ID. So if you are using the default ISS #1 for the normal ISS then set Anemometer Tx to say #2 etc and configure on console

Thanks. That is exactly how i set it up. ISS on 1 and extra transmitter on 2.
Console is reading everything great...the issue that is bothering me is the weatherlink app is not showing any wind readings!
...and i just dont know why!
Thanks.

Duplicate question also asked in the Weatherlink forum (albeit with some crucial information added, like the OP is using a Weatherlink Live unit) and answered there.

Did you made sure that the dip switches in the extra transmitter is channel two? The dip switches are binary.

OP says the console is receiving OK so channel settings presumably fine. Likely a mistake in the Weatherlink Live set-up.

Answer is in the parallel thread that was started in the Weatherlink forum. Basically I think he hadn't assigned his primary anemometer  in the Advanced Settings.
