Good morning
files updated on the repo mainly reflect weather underground and moonphase module .
1.weather underground main page removed night time zero value for UV .
2.new very slim in fact so small Im amazed at its simplicity to achieve the output .requires moonpase.php,mooninfo.php and two css files to be updated.also has minor dutch correction in new moon layout languages/nl.lang.php.
this should be the version handed over next month the changes are minor but improves overall visual experience and clean output(theoretically)
via github you can either clone or just download the updated files look for the date in the listings .
https://github.com/weather34/Meteobridge-Weather34-Templateto get a smooth update process it is advantageous to learn and get to grips with github capabilities , ive used quite successfully in the last two months whilst a bit of learning curve is required but it really is the way to go in the future if you want to follow the updates easily.
like to thank these sites which I frequently monitor for anomalies I dont always see
Singapore Weather(UV readings unlikely to see here in Istanbul & really uncomfortable dewpoint readings that would permanently confine me to A room with 24/7 AC)
Bath(UK) Weather (UK mph with metric values)
Myrtle Beach WX (general non metric values)
Milehighweather (custom version)
Okawville WX( general non metric values)
Baxley, GA Weather Station (general non metric values)
Toulouse Meteo (custom version using multiple hardware types and multiple meteobridge hubs)
screenshots of Meteobridge MB-UB40-EDS version (what does EDS mean ? Earth Dies Screaming a song from my teenage youth years)
as always tested on current PHP public release now at 7.3.3
PHP version 5.x.x was declared End-Of-Life on January 1st 2019...
in short PHP 7x is up to double as fast as PHP 5.6
side note I get a lot of emails about Weatherflow so here is the gist of my responses
1.weatherflow hardware is fully compatible with meteobridge hubs and you have near on full capability as seen with any other hardware connected
to a meteobridge hub.
2.having some new weatherflow hardware with improvements like the much needed solar powered addon (no more expensive lithium aa batteries which basically rapidly lose voltage/current in long cold spells ,ive gone through 24 in 14 months and rapid drop off rate is alarming) ,anti vibration mount addon(sceptical and await how it performs under 70kmh or more winds which get quite frequently in recent months), improved material coating to remove or reduce the loss of wind readings in rainfall periods (stormy and flash flood season is around the corner) .
3. there are no plans to have a dedicated weatherflow version whilst I have a version that works fine using the websocket protocol but big but its redundant unless the browser is open on your device, computer etc..so therefore purchasing a meteobridge hub will give you all the beneficial features currently available in the template .
4. weatherflow hardware is still a product thats evolving its newer haptic technology is a challenging method and I still remain on the sidelines in terms of rainfall measurements under steady to heavy rainfall .a tipping bucket or manual gauge still offers for me a more realistic measurement of rainfall .
as always have a great week ahead...
