Looks nice, the only issue I had with it was the loading time, which for some reason in my case was about 30s, but apart from that, it looks nice.

It has been a link in my bookmarks for years now and I don't remember how I initially got there.

I like it too. They had it for a while a few weeks ago, then it went away. Now it's back, hopefully for good.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I thought it might be due to a failed plugin in my browser.

Do you know of a way to get to that page from the NOAA homepage?

I wrote NOAA directly asking the question and here is what they wrote:
******************************************************************************************
One of the new pages that could be used is here, for your perusal:
http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/map/?&zoom=11&scroll_zoom=true&center=42.259016415705766,-73.13186645507812&basemap=OpenStreetMap&boundaries=true,false,false&obs=true&obs_type=weather&elements=temp,dew,wind,rh,gust,slp&obs_popup=false&obs_density=10

When you click on the "+" of the observation, a window opens 'below',
which is very close to/semi-equivalent to the page link you sent earlier, ie here:
http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mesowest/getobext.php?sid=D4847

From NOAA homepage, no. Mine is accessed from Tucson's NWS web site. What confuses me is why is your data from Mass. being displayed on the Western Region web site?

Odder yet, is when I go to your NWS CWA which is Albany, I can't find your data under the More Local WX page for the Becket area. Just the five neighboring airports are displayed. :???:

On your Tucson NWS site, are personal weather stations listed on the "More Local WX" page?

Only one does...all, however, are on the OBSERVATIONS page.

OK, if I go here:

http://www.weather.gov/aly/

then put my cursor over "Current Conditions" to open the menu and then click on "Observations (map), my station will be listed in western Massachusetts.

They don't always add CWOP sites on more Local WX page, varies by the local office I guess. Here they only add airports and coops. In Az they added CWOP sites also, it could be the region what stations are government or possible how many stations are available on what they add.

Only mine for the Tucson metro. If you go elsewhere, you'll find others.

No PWS's on the observation page that I can find, only government.

I've visited almost all of the NWS web sites in the country and only us western people have PWS's on them. For instance, look here in San Diego area http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/total_forecast/other_obs.php?wfo=sgx&zone=CAZ050. As you can see there are a ton of them.

So looks like a decision being made at local or regional level. With Western regions more likely to add CWOP stations.

As a "fed" my whole career, I'm not surprised by this "segregation" for lack of a better term. However, why this is done, I have no clue.

I see that the "wind speed" changes to a blue text when my gusts are over 20 mph. I'll have to check back during a storm to see if any other colors are used for greater values.

There are. I'm not certain, but at 40 it turns magenta and at 57mph (severe T-storm cat.) it turns purple, I think.
