VWSaprs Problems
« on: April 17, 2009, 07:10:10 PM »
I'm trying to send my data to CWOP and in the VWSaprs window, when I hit update now, nothing happens. No green light comes on to show that it's sending. What's wrong?
Thanks.

I also noticed that when I press the "update now" button sometimes it doesn't update and sometime it does.  Not sure what is going on here.

Yes it was working fine but my external HD crashed that had my VWS software on it and I had t reinstall and re do everything onto my main HD such as settings, infomation etc. VWSaprs worked find before crashing now it just frezzees and can't upload anything. I did changethe wxreport.txt location folder. Would that have any thing to do with it?
Thanks.

The update button refreshes your data, but will not let you update more than the 10 minute (??think that's the time frame) limit imposed in the last few years.  I think the update button will force a send if you have not uploaded in a while, but if you did one a few minutes ago, it does nothing.

I did a little trial and error this morning and got it to update. Werid.
Now what is the best server and port to use? I've been using cwop.aprs.net and port 14580.
Thanks.

Set it to automatic. That is where is should be set to function properly, as per the software author.
