Looks like other nearby stations to you on the list show the same problem.
Must be been a technical issue with CWOP.

If all PWS owners who put their data online truly cared about the quality of what they were posting, it would be a great thing. Need I say more?

Looks like an issue with Phillip Gladstones site to me. Did you check the MADIS website for what that was saying?

I checked my site on the Madis map and there are spikes for everyone recently.  However Gladestone site looks good, it didn't show spikes so something strange is going on....

"...I hate MADIS..."

Sounds like a song :P

I love Paris in the springtime
I love Paris in the fall
I love Paris in the winter when it drizzles
I love Paris in the summer when it sizzles

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I still don't understand why everyone gets so bent about the Madis QC reports.  I started reporting to Findu probably back in 2008 and it used to do that to me all the time.  I got a little bent about it then I realized they aggregated everybody's reports and QC'd it against a baseline.  As I saw on this thread earlier, its 'garbage in/garbage out'.

I learned to ignore it and enjoy the hobby.  I check my QC about twice a year now.  Since then I've never had a problem.

There is a very simple fix ;)
Dont send data there, send data to your own web and make sure you set limits for the data that are lower than 6 times the temperature of the Sun ;)

Like I said, "...I hate MADIS..." and Gladstone is simply "showing" us what MADIS produced.

As it clears states on a QC page, nobody outside of MADIS knows what they use for QC. On the Gladstone page thumbs-up are based on the percentage of reports that MADIS didn't flag. The analysis is generated by Philips website based on the data reported by nearby stations; in an attempt to help you identify why MADIS may be flagging your data. If MADIS isn't constantly flagging your data there is little reason to worry about or even look at the analysis.
