Is there an ananometer (I never can spell that word right for some reason    ) on that pole beside the house?

Nice pictures. Anxiously awaiting spring here as well. Recent snowmelt and rain have left a muddy mess (with 2 active Border Collies! ). I'm guessing all roofs there have a steep pitch/slope to shed snow(?).

no, it is a flag pole.

This stuff is getting to me.  Every time I see a pole now, I look for an anemometer.

Getting down the to make them is the east part for me. Getting up after I'm finished is another story.

Not all houses have such steep roofs, some houses have a flat roof.

it depends on what you have on the roof (sheet metal, brick, cardboard)
