Text or Email when FTP upload fails
« on: January 14, 2016, 02:29:47 PM »
My hosting is having FTP login issues. This is a recent development, but I was wondering if there is a way to generate an email or text if FTP fails. I suppose that the Status for FTP could be used. Or, I could write a shell script that attempts a login and emails me if there is a failure using my Linux box.

Before I "reinvent the wheel" does anyone have a way to do this?

I use Flatline-Status from Jim McMurry which works when the data is stale, not sure if its exactly what your after, but it might be a start.

This links takes you to a thread on it, if you need the script I run, just ask.
