Main page indicator for a "status" problem
« on: July 28, 2015, 10:53:45 AM »
I have added a couple of zero byte files that I can add to my site to indicate false rain counts and station maintenance. I have a Linux bash script that touches the file on my hosting server for this purpose. It all works fine and shows the status message when I create the file and it is removed when I delete it.

I would like to have a "front page" indicator of some sort that shows visitors that there is a problem and to check the status page.

I know that there is the message box that appears when clientraw.txt is more than two minutes old. Is there a way to have a similar alert based on non-Current status on the status page?

I was thinking that the Blitzortung, Maintenance Message and False Rain status messages would be good to have an indicator on the main page.
