I had a 5-in-1 for a couple years. My post was PVC pipe and I had heavy monofilament guy lines on it. This winter one of the guy lines broke and I was not able to fix it in time - on a very cold, very windy day the post broke and the 5-in-1 came a-tumblin' down. It did not survive. I already had coated stainless steel fishing leader to replace the guy lines - but the remote mount option on the Atlas gave me reason to totally redesign the tower.
I used 1" and 1-1/2" aluminum tubing. The 1-1/2" tube goes into the 2" PVC pipe down to the union. I used my 3D printer to make all the connecting bits between the PVC and the aluminum tubes using ABS and carbon filed PETG. The remote wiring runs inside the tubing There's a bundle of wire inside the PVC at the union and then it runs up between the aluminum and PVC to the sensor. Makes for a nice, tidy install, if I may say so myself.
