WMR968 stopped sending sensor data to computer monitor

My WMR-968 console has stopped sending sensor data to my computer/monitor. It does show sensor battery statis ok. I have swapped rs232 cable and even changed computers to no avail. Can anyone tell me where I can get a schematic for the console? I have tried Oregon Sci, Radio Shack support (the 968 is also a Radio Shack model 63-1016) and several internet sites but can't find the schematic. Any suggestions? Any info on repair/service places that I can contact? I have reset the console, no change.  Thanks, Harl.

you mention battery is ok. I thought the console had to be on AC to xmit to PC.

Yes I am running on ac.  The batt info was showing for the battery conditions on each of the remote sensor units.
Which means that that information is going through the rs232 cable ok, but none of the sensor reading are  being sent through the cable. Really need to find a schematic for the 968. Thanks.

Here is some info for the 918.  It is similar to the 968 I think, except it is not wireless.  I hope it will help you out some.

Anthony, Thanks for the reply. I am using Ambient Weather's "Virtual Weather Station" I have been running this station for 3 years with no problems until recently when the temp readings etc. stopped  showing up on the monitor.

If you have a sensor that is not sending data to the console. You must go into the sensor communications settings and uncheck that sensor. Other VWS will just sit there.

Anthony. All of the sensors are showing correctly on the console. The console is not transferring the data via the rs232 cable to the computer monitor. The sensor boxes shown in the commuications window on the computer must be checked in order for the software to recognize them. All of my sensor boxes are checked.

If the boxes are checked for Ch1 Ch2 Ch3. They should only be checked if you have those additional sensors. Try unchecking them and I'll bet vws will load.

I agree. that's why a picture would "save" a thousand words.  Of course he also says that he has been using vws for years, but I guess a channel sensor could get ticked accidentally...

 :grin: :grin: =D> Ok Guys, especially Anthony. Thanks for the clues. I went back into the communications drop down menu and un-checked all of the sensor boxes for the 4 sensors that I have. I then re-checked those 4 boxes and walla!! all of the date suddenly appeared. I now have all 4 sensor boxes checked and everything is working just fine.  I was just about to dig into the circuitry suspecting one or more diodes and gone bad feeding the rs232 data port lines. Thanks to all who answered my call for help. Now I need to write this fix in the back of the manual in case it should happen again.
