Title: Sleet
Post by: ocala on January 09, 2010, 05:50:10 PM
I had sleet in the cone of my gauge today. It later melted. Does this count?

Yes, I do believe that it should be reported under daily precipitation.  I am not 100% sure but close enough.

:-) Definitely. It's precipitation.  Melt it, and report it.
Make a note in the comments section, that it was sleet, and you melted it.
I've done that exact same thing, during last season (not this one).
Hello fellow CoCoRaisin!

For sure, if it accumulated on the ground even for a few minutes then put it under snowfall and make a notation that it was sleet accumulation...
