Retracted reading
« on: October 22, 2013, 10:16:07 AM »
I have never seen one of these before.

... Record low temperature report at Douglas AZ retracted...

The kdug ASOS reported a low temperature of 29 degrees which would
break the old record of 30 set in 1949. Due to anomalous data trends
and the potential of insturment error this record report has been
retracted pending further investigation.

Earlier in the year they reported a record high rain of 8 inches in one day which I always suspected as bogus. They did not retract that one.

and so now it's good!    Wonder how they determined that.

... Record low temperature at Douglas AZ on October 21st is good...

Upon further review of the temperature data for October 21st at
Douglas Arizona Airport... the low temperature of 29 degrees which
occurred at 5:29 am is good. The 29 degrees sets a new daily record
low for October 21st. The old record was 30 degrees set in 1949.

I guess they've started using instant replay reviews at NOAA, too.
