Do I need a complete set of data to join CWOP?
« on: February 19, 2019, 07:22:36 PM »
Due to time constraints and the fact that my property is almost completely covered by concrete, I could simply send barometric pressure and rainfall to CWOP.  I am confident that my barometric pressure is good to +/- .01inHg, and I have to see how good my rain gauge is (just installed).  Does CWOP need a complete dataset? Wind/Temp etc..  I could probably improve my temperature setting however, it might read a couple of degrees over on a really hot day due to the fact that it is under a patio cover.  I have found that to be the case with my other wireless thermometer over the years.

Thanks,

The only fields that can’t be omitted completely are wind direction, wind speed, wind gust, and temperature. However, you can just report “...” for those fields to indicate there is no data, and then append your data after that. See https://weather.gladstonefamily.net/aprswxnet.html
