Alaska Webcams
« on: May 31, 2012, 04:53:48 PM »
Now that most of my Webcams are up and running sending Pictures and Time-Lapse video, here is the link to my main webcam page:

The last camera should be up and running soon.

Beautiful view and awesome time lapse Derek.

How often does the cam snap a shot for that timelapse?
It that Sebectec software running it?

Thanks!
Tony

Yes, Sebectec software. Taking a picture every 30 seconds at 640X480. I'm interested to see how long these cameras will last with those kinds of shutter counts. Fortunately, they are rather inexpensive!

OH, and I forgot to mention that this camera running now uses one of the Olympus wide-angle adapter lenses as well. Here's the camera sitting in the little blind I constructed in my window:

Finally got my second cam setup looking out to the West over Cook Inlet:

http://alaskaweatherwatch.com/dwCamHR2.php

This camera will produce some truly spectacular sunrise and sunset views once we get further into Fall and then Winter. It should also produce some some really nice time lapse views of the large tidal variation in the Inlet and the Mud Flats.

I'm also thinking about setting up some sort of Twitter/email/FB alert thingy once I can figure out how all of that stuff works.  :-k

What you've done to acheive that time lapse is just fantastic.
It was a pleasure just to watch that 6 hour run.

really good work, well done and many thanks for sharing your part of the world.
