Topic: VantagePro2 solar alarm, won't reset.

We were away for two weeks and came home to my Pro2 beeping.  The message said it was due to high solar Rad.  Also, Hi Humidity alarm.  The unit is 8 years old, running nonstop without a glitch until now.  First I have never set any alarms and 2, I don't even have a solar detector!  I tried everything to stop the beeping and finally held the Done button for 5 seconds, and it quit.  Two hours later, it did it again.  Last resort I took it apart and de-soldered the piezoelectric buzzer.  It still says 'alarm', just doesn't beep!  Does anyone have a clue as to how to correct or how this could happen?
Need to add I'm downloading data to WDisplay and posting online to Wunderground et al. After my 'surgery', all is well except for the bogus alarm.

All the power sources disconnected - batteries, mains etc.?

Yes, pull all power for 10 minutes.  Also it was taken apart for 20 minutes waiting for the soldering pencil to heat. But same message is displayed twenty minutes after reboot.  But no noise.   Hey, thanks but I have to sign off until tomorrow.

It's been running fine for 16 hours except the alarm notices at the bottom and NO noise.  So just won't worry about it until the unit dies. Thanks!

You could try reloading/updating the firmware.

If it starts acting up I'll try that.  Since it's running smoothly without noise I'll just use as it is.  Thanks.

Maybe you have alarm set. WeatherLink has config window to manage alarms. Other software not necessary.

Please check this simple procedure to clear all alarms in your console.

OK, 1st I tried to clear all alarms.  2nd, I've never set an alarm and haven't touched the buttons for 8 years. 3rd, it's quite so I no longer care.   Bushman, Yep!  Best for me was to cut out the voice! Out of SOUND, out of mind!
