WeatherLink not uploading to CWOP
« on: January 03, 2017, 01:03:36 PM »
For the past few years, I've been using Cumulus to do all my web uploading, with no problems. I just recently started using VVP so I could run Cumulus and WeatherLink at the same time, which broke the CWOP upload (it uploads all data except altimeter). Anyway, I figured I'd try using WeatherLink to upload to CWOP and see if that worked. I entered all of my information, but it does not seem to be uploading. I'm running WL 6.0.3, on Windows 7 with a USB datalogger. I tried with WL connected through VVP and I also tried while it was connected directly to my datalogger. Right now I'm using VPLive to upload to CWOP, which is working fine. However, I'd like to use software that actually is supported and uploads in the correct format (TCPIP instead of TCPXX). Anyone have any suggestions how I might fix this? Or if not, any suggestions of what other software I could use? Thanks for any help, and let me know if there is any other information I should add. I'll attach screenshots so you can see my setup, in case I did something wrong there.

Well one problem for sure is that in your first window the "internet transfer enabled" button is still off.

I thought when I read the manual it said you only had to set that up if you were using FTP. I can see now I was wrong. Guess that's what you get when you don't read the manual carefully enough . It seems to be working without VVP, so now I just have to make sure it works with VVP. Thanks for your help.

Looks like it's not working with VVP, so I guess I'll just have to go back to my old ways of running Cumulus and opening WL every day to download for a backup. It's too bad VPLive isn't updated any more.

Well, this is odd. I switched back to Cumulus, and now it's not working. It updated CWOP once but hasn't updated any more. Wunderground is updating fine, so it's not an internet problem. Guess I'll go back to VVP and VPLive, since that at least was working. Guess I'll also probably have to post over on the Cumulus forum to see if they can figure out what's going on, and maybe get the altimeter to work with VVP. I don't have much hope for that, though, since I'm sure it's a VVP problem and not Cumulus.
