Topic: Vantage Vue firmware update not showing indoor conditions?

Hey guys, new to this stuff. Just got the Vantage Vue all installed. Got the software w the USB connection. Updated to the new firmware and the indoor temp does not display nor the indoor humidity. If I go with the 2012 firmware they come back but the barometric pressure dissappears. You guys run into this? Any suggestions? I emailed davis w no response yet.

This would probably be a mis-match between Mfg codes and firmware versions. Re the Barometric pressure sensor latest firmware is only supported by Mfg codes MB or higher, what is the Mfg code of your Vue console?

Which 2012 firmware are you referring to? Versions are 4.18 (latest), 3.00, 2.14, 2.12

I installed the 4.18. I wI'll check the mfg code in morn. That could be right. Anyway to revert back. I didn't really need to update as it was working but thought it would be a good thing. The davis software is so old school. I'm not the most computer literate either.

Software (as such) has nothing to do with your problem as the software (that being WeatherLink) is what connects your computer to the USB logger. The Vue console Firmware is something quite different and if the Vue is a few years old then 4.18 will not work.

So the manufacturing code on the back is mp. Product # is 6351 which I thought was the latest one, not sure how old it is. Was brand new in package from Ebay. Model # says 6250 tho. Is there a way for me to reset to factory after I installed the firmware?

6351 is the product #, Mfg Code will be something like 1 or 2 alpha characters which will also be followed by some numbers (~ 8 or so) indicating a date when it was built

Called Davis this afternoon and they said it would have already had the firmware and something didn't like something else. They are shipping me a new unit to replace it. Super customer service so far. I'm impressed.

Did it all work out OK in the end?

It's pretty shocking if one of their main products couldn't be checked to ensure it was backwards compatible
