VWS HAS WRONG DATE
« on: May 11, 2013, 04:42:00 PM »
Hi Everyone,  I've got a problem and I can't seem to figure out.  When I click on graphs and guages the right side of the screen shows the wrong date and time?  Right now it says 5/7/13 and the time at 6:56 pm.  The website is www.LeanderWeather.com.  How do I correct this and get it back into sync?  Thank you.  Carol Pease agentpease@hotmail.com

might be a problem with a wrong date/time entry in the data (bin) files that the graphs are created from
there has been other threads about that

Are you sure the broadcast.jpg is being uploaded?  Everything else seems current.

Sorry, I don't understand.  I'm pretty much a neophyte at this.  I was shocked I actually got this to work.  How do I check whether the broadcast.jpg is uploading?

Carol,

First check to see if it is on the desktop display.  If not then click Modify Display->Broadcast and tick the box Display Panel on Desktop.  Also make sure the box Create jpg box is ticked.  This will then send the file with the graphs.

Thank you Jay for responding. The correct date and time is on my desktop for broadcast.jpg.  The create jpg box is ticked.  Now what do I do?

It seems to be correct now?

No it is not correct now.  I've watched the upload  the jpgs and when it gets to broadcast.jpg it is only for a partial second whereas the other transfers take a second or two each.  Did I mess up some code somewhere?

Carol,
I looked at your website when you first posted this and the date was, in fact, as you stated in your post. I just looked again today, twice in fact, and the date is correct. Perhaps you could clear your browser cache and see if that helps.

Carol,

I also looks correct to me.  The time was only 2 minutes behind the regular page which is a function of when the jpgs are updated.

OMG thank's to both of you.  It is now working correctly.  I wonder what started this mess?  I was about to reinstall VWS and start over.  That would not have made me happy!!!
