Best Portable WX Handheld?
« on: May 24, 2019, 07:27:30 PM »
Hello: I am in the market for a decent handheld windmeter with, I suppose, additional features...My budget is flexible, and I am looking at a Kestrel 5500 with the wind vane attachment...It seems to do everything in a small package...The price is a bit painful, but quality is expensive, I suppose...I do a lot of out door activities with the Boy Scouts and a good portable unit would be of great use...Would anyone here recommend the Kestrel 5500 with wind vane as a good choice? Thanks a lot!

Eg.  https://www.amazon.ca/Weatherflow-Wireless-Bluetooth-Windmeter-Anemometer/dp/B011WT29HO  There are scads of these and some phones have temp/baro sensors so you other options.
