Thinking ahead to the Christmas list already...   :-)

Any opinions on handheld anemometers?  Anything you really like?  Or hate?

Kestrel...I use a model 3500....I like it....just speed, no direction.

Cup-based models are always better for handheld units IMO - that way you don't need to always check that you're holding the unit into the wind.

Agreed, Kestrels are nice, but they don't have the cup anemometer.
