Topic: Wunderground not reporting my PWS

Wunderground shows my station is not reporting, but my station's page on Ambient Weather shows uninterrupted data. Looks like others are also showing up as "nonreporting."

yes, its down for me also, its a pain as i reset my weather station thinking it was my fault somehow... once its up again i'll have to setup all over again

I am sick and tired of WU's incompetence.

I see "Not Reporting" at every PWS near me (mine, too)... the data that IS there is not properly timed.  I'm seeing PWS data for 2 hours from now.

WEBCAM (ftp) service is sketchy, at best.  Lots of lost features over the last year.

My loyalty is gone...  Like most of you, I have put a lot of time and $$ into providing the best quality data I can - and for what?  The Weather Channel, IBM, and Weather Company ad dollars? 

I feel duped.

Webcam seems fine.

At least last time when it came back, I never lost any data.

Mine was down yesterday; it's back today, complete with its gold star (woohoo...).  However, it now reports with metric units, which is fine, as I do understand celsius and hPa, but I seem incapable of getting english units to stick.  I go into my profile and change to english, save the prefs, WU kindly says that the prefs are saved, but when I go back to my page, there's degrees Celsius again.  WU seems to be capable of redefining "incompetent" on a daily basis.

Mine has been down for over a month, and "support@wunderground" and "help@wunderground have not responded to at least 8 e-mails I've sent about the problem.

Why offer these options if no one ever responds?

I've rebooted my PWS numerous times, rebooted my WiFi & router, all to no avail.  The set-up on the PWS all looks correct (including time & date), and it all worked fine for almost a year since I set it up w/o any problems.....

BTW, if anyone from Wunderground sees this, the station is KNHBRIST6.  Guess that would have been good info to include, LOL.   I meant to.

I guess WU is going to keep trying to eliminate itself, feature by feature, until finally it's no more than a memory..  I've been aggravated by their stickers not working.

This is getting ridiculous!!!!!!

My station came back as I thought it would.

Now this afternoon, same issue: Station offline and wonky graphs.

Plus, now I have the webcam shot from 6:35am all day on my site. When I test the FTP transfer, it all goes through fine...but it doesn't show on the site.

I sent emails to Dan Hein at weather.com and Kari Strenfel at WU. They have always responded helpfully in the past, hopefully they will now.

The worst part is the lack of communication...WU, what the hell is going on?

My Weather Station is fubared on WU too. Myacurite is reporting to WU. Look at this crap

Anybody knows a good TV reporter that is willing to make a news event about it for the whole world to see? Maybe that will wake them up and we will get some answers.

I just heard back from Dan at weather.com and they know all about this issue and are working diligently on it. He said to share that info with y'all, so there you have it: It is a known problem and they are working on fixing it.

That is exactly the problem, NO communication from them. Is it to much to ask that someone from WU post something here. Users will be much more forgiving if they admit they have a problem instead of being like an ostrich with their head in the sand.

I heard from them today that their "dedicated PWS employee" had left and there was no time table for when there would be a new one.....

they asked my to try an alternative PW they provided to try to log my PWS into WU, but I can't try it at the moment.

How much do you expect for free?  At least I see your WU free sticker is working.

They are using our PWS data to sell advertising, as such, you'd think they'd want to maintain the quality of the data.

They (IBM) are selling our PWS data to corporate clients.  I am pretty sure they really don't care much about the WU site anymore.
