Anyone With Two Davis Weather Stations?
« on: March 27, 2018, 02:39:23 AM »
The reason I ask is because I am considering buying a fairly cheap Vue off eBay.  I currently own and have been happy with my Vantage Pro2 for nearly 8 years but if the price is right on a used Vue I would to set it up in a different spot.

What I am wondering is there shouldn't be any issues setting up another station in the same location with separate consoles right?

Of course you'll need to use different id's on each station and the corresponding consoles if you're going to be operating both at the same time, but that's easy to set up.

As noted, it's possible to do 2 complete stations in the same location on 2 different ISS IDs. I did an installation on a local ranch with 5 stations and 3 repeaters, all the consoles in the same room.

In addition, if one of the consoles is a VP2, the second station can be received by it as a temperature/humidity station. I'm doing that here. The main VP2 station up at the house received Station 2 down in the woods as temp/hum while the Vue console down there receives it as a full station.
