Why is the barometer located inside of the console?
« on: January 19, 2018, 11:45:52 PM »
I just saw a YT review on a VP2 where the guy stated that the barometer is actually inside the VP2 console, not any of the outside equipment. Does anyone know why? Wouldn't accuracy be compromised to some extent or would it be negligible?

No need exposing the sensor to the elements. Unless your house is literally air tight, no difference.

Norwegian building codes now mandate "almost air tight" constructions and "balanced ventilation" for new residential buildings/houses.

I've noticed slight changes in barometric readings when the elevator is moving up or down and even when the kitchen ventilator is activated. The fluctuations are in the decimal part of the hPa/mb readout.
