Calving on Hubbard Glacier, Alaska
« on: August 22, 2011, 07:56:15 PM »
The wife and I just finished a wonderful inside-passage cruise from Seattle to Alaska on the msWesterdam (Holland America).

One of the most memorable events was sailing into Disenchantment Bay, Alaska to 'park' about 1 mile from the face of the Hubbard Glacier.
This 220 to 340ft high glacier face was fortunately busy calving off ice for us, and I captured two events.

Here's the album link.

Now you know why I've been a bit silent on the forum for a bit.. at $0.40 US a minute, the internet access was closely controlled :)

Best regards,
Ken
