Damn too many touchy egos getting on this board lately.  Think I'll take a vacation elsewhere.
Yeah, I hear the cheers.  Bye...

Oh come on,  don't get upset because of one egoistic idiot...  I am sure there is lot of other people who appreciate your comments and just ignore those others like grahamk

Sorry to see you go.  Big egos can be a real problem.

I just pointed one here that I probably shouldn't have.  He immediately argued that "wxforum.net" didn't exist.

Oh, well...

C'mon man you have thicker skin then that. There's always going to be someone out there who's going to push your buttons. Let it roll off your back. You contribute too much to this board to leave over something silly like this.  Take your vacation and then come back.
See ya soon. :-)

Thanks, all...
...let me reply here, as I've done with many emails, and PMs...
Quote
While I can be pretty stubborn and outspoken myself, at times, folks generally take me with a grain of salt...  but I'll certainly cease posting any experience, opinions, suggestions, or facts,  for awhile, at least,...  to avoid any more 'flaming' on the board from others, or myself... it does dishonor to the many, many fine folks there.(Here)
...and, to quell a thought, it was not just one response from one member... this has been an accretion ...

I may return to 'posting' when some folks grow up.  Meantime, it's not worth the 'tongue' biting, or the fingers that begin to ache when holding back on a response to what appears to me as a particularly inane comment or question ... my judgment apparently isn't that good.  Just took awhile to realize there were so many smart, experienced, knowledgeable, self-satisfied newcomers here.

WxForum is a 'semi-professional' -- 'professional', and/or 'educational' forum... there are few dummies here.  I do not wish, because of my personality, to degrade the overall forum image, or suffer the pain of the achy fingers. I respect you folks too much.

Cheers!
Mike

Mike,

Please stick around. Your knowledge, advice, etc. on lots of of things is invaluable. I have learned to ignore the flaming over the years. Some folks never grow up, don't want to grow up, whatever. I'll let them figure that out, if they are able.

Yeah, Don... and need a 'second' on the ticket... Wanna?
I've not quit... just practicing being dumb, and retraining my "Shut Up, Don't Post It" instinct.

Now, back to playing with the hole in my t-shirt...
(Sheesh! 'bout worn this one out... going to search for a new, old t-shirt... time-out!)

Mike you know I haven't posted much since you haven't been here. You know there are a few on here I don't care for but that's all part of it. Kind of like work. In my position as a manager I just deal with it and move on. On the forum just ignore and move on. We all miss u buddy!
