First snow
« on: November 02, 2011, 12:25:08 PM »
Current Temperature is 38 and Omaha is having a thunderstorm. Seldom hear thunder when it's this cold. It's really cool! Close to having thunder snow which I have only seen once or twice. Winter is upon us. Snow is forecast this afternoon. I'm ready to go back to Florida.

Many Happy Weather Changes,

Nice to see you back on the forum Marci.

I agree with you about the thunder snow, it is very cool!  8-)
I've experienced it on several occasions during Lake Effect snow storms when I lived near Buffalo, NY.

Stay warm!

Our first snow occurred on the 29th, but it was definitely no sledding weather by any means :-P

I have only seen thundersnow once, but it was more hearing thunder than hearing it.

...and I am also glad to see u back Marci :-)

It seems Jim Cantore of the Weather Channel gets excited over thundersnow as well!
