what station should i choose.
« on: June 27, 2016, 04:30:18 PM »
I have had a Acurite 5in1 station for 2 or 3 yrs the aspirating fan is on the fritz and since I have decided to continue with my back yard weather monitoring I am considering an upgrade. When I 1st had the station  the temp would always spike during the mid morning and mid afternoon/early evening time. I read some various places that Acurite had made  a dual solar panel setup that looked like it would work and did for the most part but shortly after I got it the fan would died. What I decided to do instead of dealing with the aggrevation of sending back the dual panel unit having it tested and then sent back I went with the original single panel setup and just rotated the panel to face southeast in the AM and southwest during the late afternoon/evening. I am looking for a more permanent setup where I won't have the same issues either. I should also add that I had been and will upload my weather data and would like to continue to do so.
Thanks.
