It's supposed to rain here Saturday, so I needed to make my StrikeStar GPS mount more permanent and weatherproof. (I had the extension cable extending out the window, with the connection between it and the GPS exposed to the elements.)
I purchased a
USB-over-Cat5e extender set.
Thursday morning, I ran about 50' of CAT5e from the eave on the back of the garage through the garage wall to the weather computer.
After replacing one mis-wired RJ-45 connector (my fault), it fired right up and is working fine.
