New Centerfire Discone Base dual purpose antenna.
30-1300 Mhz 2 meter amateur, VHF MURS or Marine bands and 70cm Ham band and great for all weather broadcasts.
4 ground radials.
6 disc radials.
1 tuneable vertical whip.
All radials are 3/32" stainless spring steel.
Clamps to any pipe, tube or conduit mast from 7/8" to 1 1/2" in diameter or can bolt to a flat surface.
Rugged construction for indoor/outdoor use.
Short enough to hide in the attic of most homes.
Uses standard 50 or 75 ohm coax with PL259 (UHF) connector.
Disc is pre-assembled
....no threaded rods to install!
Elements won't break off in the wind!
SO-239 stud, installation instructions and tuning wrench are included.
Overall height: Approx. 40".
Use as a base antenna only, not for mobile use.

Yes it will work in your attic and will improve your reception quite a bit over the standard antenna that comes with most weather radios.
You must have at least 40" of clearance.
