Bonnie makes landfall over South Carolina as a tropical depression but still may move out over water again.
-
You have one thread already. Why start another?
http://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=29540.0;topicseen
Doesn't seem like you're posting anything other than a link to another site to begin with.
-
I have to totally agree never mind, just one of those bad weather buff habits that I have. Thanks for the reminder.
-
Well, if this is not supposed to be just a way of promoting your blog then there is nothing preventing you to delete the other thread... as an author of it you can do it.
-
I will delete my link from that post and there is nothing wrong from promoting awareness on a topic that can save lives, like hurricane preparedness and tropical weather education for those that live on the immediate coast that have never gone thru a hurricane or are unaware of the dangers. Thank you again for the reminder and I do respect your right to have an opinion on my post.
-
You misunderstood me, of course there is nothing wrong with promoting your site, thats actually quite the opposite, however, creating several threads about it is no longer promoting, but rather "spamming". If it was unintentional then that can of course happen, I was just saying in such case simply delete the other one.
-
And I did deleted okay. Everything good now, it was unintentional peace and let's contribute to write some good posts.
-
You've had your post deleted by the admins already, and you create it again. I hope you are banned from the forum and as I said in the other thread, if you want to improve your blog and make it looks at least a little bit credible, then remove the 1990s animated childish GIF images next to each post.
It is a shame, it is an interesting and important topic and it looked like you will be a useful member on this forum, unfortunately no-one could expect you are just going to be spamming and trolling the forum
-
lenticular1, Keep all of your post about this topic in 1 thread. There's no need to create multiple threads about the same thing.
Thanks
-
He knows it very well, the thread was already deleted by a moderator and he created it again
-
I know... Im the one that deleted it.
-
Aha i see, given he apologized for doing it only to do it twice again it seems to me he is just a bored spammer
-
Moderator you mean I can't write about the same topic no more on TD Bonnie is that what you mean by multiple threads? Moderator this is the first time I've subscribed to a forum I think might be ignorant on the topic of threading sorry about this just answer my first question and will make it clear to me. Thanks
-
I just meant if your talking about the same thing, just keep it all in the same thread, instead of having multiple. Cause others may post in it too, but if there's 3 different threads about the same exact thing, it may confuse people.
-
On one thread, meaning one post? One topic?
-
A thread is when you create a whole new topic about something else.
What i was trying to say to you is about this thread. If you want to post more about Bonnie you can, but just keep it in this thread instead of starting a new one.
-
How do I keep it in the same thread? By editing the same post?
-
No, by doing exactly what you just did, replied here
-
Gotcha just by replying to others on comments on that topic example TD Bonnie?
-
Here's a bit more info you may find helpful, lenticular1:
The WXForum is divided into multiple forums, each with a general description regarding what information should be posted on a specific forum. For example, this it the 'General Weather/Earth Sciences, Tropical Weather' forum and it's purpose is to house discussions pertaining to tropical weather.
Within a specific forum, you/others can post a Topic (the first message) with a description and content. As you/others post replies to that topic, it becomes a 'thread' of discussion pertaining to the subject in the Topic (first post in the thread).
Expected WXforum behavior is to post ONE Topic about a specific subject, and not repeat the post as a new topic in the same forum (or other forums) -- doing repeated content posts as new topics is (as Jachym noted) viewed as akin to spammer activity and may be subject to action by the admins/moderators.
Hope this helps,
Best regards,
Ken

Thanks Ken that made it crystal clear.
-
Sorry everybody.

Bonnie just meandering along the South Carolina coast as a minimal tropical depression with 30mph winds. Expected to resume a northeastward motion skirting the coast.
-
She looked impressive at first, then seemed to have lost a lot of power quickly as the direction has changed.
-
Very unimpressive indeed and satellite imagery may be showing that TD Debbie may be losing its tropical identiy with a shallow circulation, appearing ragged and remaining a sheared cyclone while meandering along South Carolina.
-
Bonnie becomes a remnant low while drifting northeastward.
-
Bonnie redevelops just east of Cape Hatteras with 30 mph winds. Enough convection has redeveloped over the center to reclassify it as tropical cyclone Bonnie. Expected to move on a general eastward direction throughout the forecast while producing heavy rains over eastern North Carolina.
