Someone mentioned that it could be RF induced problems but I'm not sure why it would be the barometer only.
As mentioned in another tread by a ham operator who had equipment nearby and went through 2 VP2 consoles http://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=33358.msg338129#msg338129
He ended up getting a Vue console that sends valid data to CWOP but not sure what he did about his ham equipment.

Is there potential issues at the Township site?

There is this possibility Paul. The Po Po are about 100 yards away. The township (Road Crew) radios are not in use at the times when the problem arises. I have quit a bit of ham gear at home VHF and HF and have never had an issue. What I'm mostly confused about is , why the Envoy and not the console.

Update:
... After receiving a replacement Envoy from Davis, The new one exhibited the same behavior as the old one.

...We have installed the weatherlink module into the console. So far we have been running for all but 2 weeks without issues.

I'm sure you understand what you meant, but could you explain that a bit better?

The old Envoy exhibited Spikes and held the high reading.

The NEW  Envoy exhibited Spikes and held the high reading with the weatherlink module moved to the new Envoy.

The console does not exhibit spikes with the SAME weatherlink module installed there.

Thanks.

The console and the Envoy were in exactly the same physical location?  And the console has the latest firmware?

Yes- The Envoy and the console are in the same loaction.
Yes- They are both have  the latest firmware installed.

This is all just a bit disappointing as they wanted the console in the "Team Room" for visibility and the Envoy was to sit along with the computer.

Is there any chance that somebody is deliberately changing the altitude setting?

(Just trying to cover all of the possibilities)

Someone have to break into the building, Log on to the computer, Find the software, etc. etc.

I didn't realize this was an unoccupied building.

Is the data being uploaded somewhere that we could see it (Weather Underground or ....)?

Here is what I have so far. I'm not going to move ahead any further until I have this resolved.

How does your data move to Weather Underground?  There's something weird going on:

Data table Weather Underground Monthly Mode, ending April 5.  Selected items:

2018        Pressure
             High               Avg
March
30           32.09 in    30.89 in
31           32.09 in    -483.9 in
April
1          32.1 in    -483.9 in
2            32.1 in    -483.9 in
3       32.09 in    -483.9 in
4       32.09 in    -483.9 in
5            32.09 in    -483.9 in

The highest adjusted-to-sea level barometric pressure ever recorded on Earth (above 750 meters) was 1084.8 hPa (32.03 inHg)

Speculation: somewhere (hardware/software) there's an elevation setting of 5640 ft. instead of 564 ft.

Speculation: Weather Underground has some threshold value that causes sudden incorrect interpretation of impossibly-high barometric pressure reports.

Don't pay any attention to all of that nonsense. That was PRIOR to switching over to the console from the Envoy.  Anything prior to 5/2/18 is pure garbage. We swapped it out on 5/1/18. Anything prior is the Envoy introducing errors.. and that's what I'm having trouble with. 2 different Envoys.

Ok, I was sent on a wild-Envoy chase.  And you didn't answer my question about how the data gets to WU.  Anyhow:

In the WU data:
EXACTLY where should I look at the problem data from the FIRST Envoy?
EXACTLY where should I look at the problem data from the SECOND Envoy?

There are not 2 Envoys. I was clear on that earlier yesterday.
I must be ignorant in my responses. I really don't know how to be any more clear than I have been.

Perhaps someone else can help.  In the meantime, please answer the following:

What weather software programs are you using?

What are the relevant settings on the Envoy - the ones in the "Choose Units" and "Set Barometer" panels in the Envoy manual, pages 16 and 17?  [Barometer units, elevation units, station elevation]

https://www.davisnet.com/product_documents/weather/manuals/envoy_manual.pdf

When you moved the logger (weatherlink module), did you remove all power (AC and battery) from the console and the envoy before moving the logger?

From Reply #16, September 20th - in this topic.  Perhaps relevant.

His console was not setup properly. He did not have the elevation nor the barometer parameters configured.
......... I see no spikes since correcting the issue, so we'll consider it solved.

Waiting to hear from Dane_B.

Just to clarify why I'm a bit confused:

..... After receiving a replacement Envoy from Davis, The new one exhibited the same behavior as the old one.

The old Envoy exhibited Spikes and held the high reading.

The NEW  Envoy exhibited Spikes and held the high reading with the weatherlink module moved to the new Envoy.

I really don't know how to be any more clear than I have been.

OK, so how did this turn out?  Or have you resolved the issue?
