What would be the most correct decision, same 7346.166 or new 7346.070?
The replacement of the old and new model costs the same, about 79Euros.

It is worth buying as a spare part of an old TEMP / HUM sensor 7346.166
that has been broken and replaced with the new model with SHT31 7346.070
and then apply the correction of +0.5ºC?

The new sensor will provide data more accurate than the old when connected
to an old ISS and corrected +0.5ºC?

any other Incompatibilities or problems reported?

The 7346.166 SHT11 sensor is discontinued its direct replacement is the Davis 7346.174 SHT15 which is better but not as good as the 7346.070 SHT31.
I personally only purchase the newer 7346.070 and do the -.5C (-.9F) offset when using pre 2016 transmitters.
