Topic: WXtoImg syncronization issue

Hi all,
in the last days I have a problem with the pictures decoded from NOAA satellites with WXtoImg.
It seems a sync failure in much the same decoding point.
This has not happened before and I have the same configuration in SDR Console and WXtoImg.
What do you think about it?
Here two example:

that is an sych problem  . How are you feeding your machine or software.  Use to get that same thing back in the sevenity  when coping it over the air and multipathing  reared it ugly head.

I feed WXtoImg from SDR Console via VB-Audio Virtual Cable on the same PC machine and the SDR dongle is connected with 50 cm usb cable.
I use Satellite Tracking in SDR Console in order to correct the Doppler effect
The strange is that I have this problem with all the NOAA satellites, then on different frequencies and at different times, but this has not happened before, as you can see on my site: http://satellitemeteo.site88.net/
Noise interferences? Why in much the same decoding point?

Today I tested HDSDR software instead SDR Console to feed WXtoImg and the syncro seems to be better.
I will test SDR Console again and I will analize the results to understand if the problem is that software setting.

I use HDSDR and can suggest try it without the satellite tracking. Set the bandwidth to around 38Mhz instead. Even with the Doppler effect the signal will be in the bandpass region for the duration of the run. I've seen where tracking can jump causing glitches in the picture.

That's the way I've been running mine and don't get the sync issue.

oh and an another thing, make sure the PC doesn't have any other program(s) running that produce sounds like, Skype, Line, etc. If a sound is produced while you're recording with WxtoImg then you will get sync glitches too.

Hi DanS,
I'm setting the bandwith to 40 MHz and you are right that the signal may be decoded in this range without Doppler correction.
I will test the SDR Console without Satellite Tracking for frequency correction to see if in this way the issue may be solved.
Ok for your other suggestions with PC machine.

Here the image decoded with SDR Console without Satellite Tracking software for Doppler correction: no syncro issue.
The next time I will test with it again so I will see if the issue go back.
