Well, the Arlo is not going to work well as a wireless webcam.

Your Arlo Wire-Free cameras are battery-powered and are not intended for continuous recording.The batteries in your Arlo Wire-Free camera last for about four to six months with normal usage, which is about five minutes of recordings a day.
I believe this has been discussed here before. While a true 24/7 wireless/cordless network camera can be built, it will be bulky and expensive, requiring a large battery and a way to charge it (solar/battery swap/etc).
For instance, I have an older WiFi D-Link camera that requires 5 watts at 5 volts/1 amp. That's 24 amp-hours at 5 v, or 120 watt hours a day. A quick search finds 6 volt/12amp-hour batteries for $15 plus shipping. You'd need 4 batteries minimum to maximize battery life and then a way to charge them every day.
