Another site based on the brilliant Meteotemplate by Jachym.

www.surpriseazweather.com - my little slice of weather web heaven lol.

Still a bit of a work in progress but wow even a web dummy like me can do this with his template.

Without it I would never have this up. If you've ever dreamed of doing this and have no web skills like me lol, check www.meteotemplate.com out.

I know there are other great templates around but Jachym has practically got it all idiot-proofed! Almost

Looks nice, good job!

And thanks for also mentioning it is not hard, once you get past the MySQL stuff it is really simple to add as many blocks and plugins as you like and even the setup of blocks and the whole template is now done using GUI.

Thanks the kind words, my mobile page is still a work in progress but my job keeps interfering with my hobby 😃

I've noticed that occasionally my station will go off line and I think the Meteobridge is colliding with the Weatherlink IP logger, that's a little annoying and I'll have to get that sorted.

Occasionally it will start recording again but most times I have to unplug the Meteobridge to get it reporting again.

Anyways thanks, still tweaking it a bit when I get the time.

Very nice site, I like the two night-vision webcams, I am guessing those are the AmbientcamHD units? I'll have to read up on the Meteotemplate and see how easy/hard it is to integrate with Cumulus, then I may go ahead and switch my station over.

As many will confirm, plus if you want I can help you setting it up, last couple of weeks/months I do it almost daily, so feel free to contact me any time and I can set it up for you or help you out.

Cumulus is fully supported including import of history logs.

Thanks Jachym! I'm currently running Ken's template so I should be able to get things going without too many problems, but I may have some questions regarding customizing the layout to get it the way I want it as I'm planning on having it set to display on my living room TV thru the home theater PC I am putting together. First I have to find some free time to do everything...

Sure, it might seem a little complicated when you see all the blocks and plugins, but once you see how it works, adding a new block, changing it, adding a new plugin is really simple. I don´t think Ken´s template is any more difficult, especially given just last week 3 people who use Saratoga installed it easily.

Thanks, yes I have three of the AmbientCam HD's, I like them a lot.

Their night vision is not the greatest but they are fairly cheap and have a pretty good picture for the price point. I forget the brand right now but there is some other fancier webcam that some folks use but they are very very pricey and these do the job for now.

Maybe someday..if they ever get cheaper..

I signed up for Google Analytics and am using Jachym's built in GA config and I'm trying to see if it's working properly so a site visit and a few page crawls would be highly appreciated!

I'll do the same for anybody else who request a reciprocal site visit in return! At least to a PWS site anyways....

Great site! I'm doing one in the same vicinity and template. I'm still configuring it, though, so it doesn't look very pretty.

I wanted to share with you this site that I found along my travels since you're tracking visits: http://www.clustrmaps.com/

It lists your web visitors on a map, and the graphic is very nice.

In Meteotemplate there is a built in support for Google Analytics, it is IMHO also great tracking service, which can also draw maps, graphs and much more.

Hmm, not sure what's going on - this works and is what I have saved but both www.surpriseazweather.com and https://www.surpriseazweather.com both worked before.

Try this one: https://www.surpriseazweather.com/template/indexDesktop.php, it should work for you while I figure this out, I think I already know what might be the issue.

And follow the instructions under NOTE!!!

I had to do the same thing. By adjusting your index.html in the root folder it can do the redirect.

Thanks for that, it just led me to the issue, I had installed a couple of Godaddy apps and uninstalled recently, I think it renamed my index.html, it had been renamed to index_1.html.

I renamed and all is well again!!
