Winds weren't all that bad except in the squalls but that's when ours went.

Watch out for those tornadoes.  They're short-lived, but come and go with no notice.   8-[

We've had several tornado warnings and most of the state is still under a watch.

Hope all you Floridians get thru this mess ok - good luck to you all. Glad you have a generator, Ocala - hang in there!

I usually get out to Tampa first week in July. I almost went early in hopes of seeing that Delta IV Heavy launch (28th). Glad I didn't!

Power came back on last night so it wasn't too bad.
7.11 in rain so far but that's  not too much compared to some places in the panhandle. Waiting for the Cocorahs totals to come in this morning.

Prediction #11 from the NHC takes the eye over the city of Ocala.

What a week for a  trip to Daytona.   ](*,) My oldest child has dance nationals.
So much for the sun and fun.
I am going to tell the dance studio we should have gone to Palm Springs, CA last week.

I think things will start to get better for most people today. At least most of the really heavy rains have moved on to the east.

I don't know Steve.
Precipitable water values are still over 2 inches for the whole area. With that low pumping in more moisture  and the fact there are now breaks in the cloud cover which create more instability the threat of heavy rain still exists. Whether that happens is another story.

They had part of I-10 closed between JAX and Tallahassee. It wasn't long ago that Beryl swamped that panhandle area and now this thing stalling for a while? It's gotta be brutal.

And no sooner is Debby moving out - and we get to start tracking this little bugger...

A TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED NEARLY MIDWAY BETWEEN THE WEST COAST OF
AFRICA AND THE WINDWARD ISLANDS CONTINUES TO PRODUCE DISORGANIZED
SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS. DEVELOPMENT OF THIS WAVE..IF
ANY...WILL BE SLOW TO OCCUR AS IT MOVES WESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.
THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...10 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL
CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

I saw that too. Hard to know if this June activity is a sign of things to come.

Yea, I was looking at the forecast for Sarasota... I like! I'll be there Saturday through next Thursday.
I did add a page for Florida weather forecast: http://www.daculaweather.com/4_forecast_fl.php

Georgia is done, North and South Carolina will be done this evening.

How bad was the flooding?? I didn't see a lot of coverage on Good Morning America about it, they just showed rainfall totals, which were crazy I might add, but I was hoping that flooding was minimal

Unfortunately, there has been a lot of flooding.  A lot of rivers and streams are out of their banks causing moderate to major flooding in some areas.

Story with videos from CNN.
