« on: February 02, 2012, 05:40:03 PM »
An extremely dangerous setup is shaping up for W part of Slovenia due to high potential for masive force Bora winds during the next two days. Very high wind gusts, locally exceeding 180 km/h. It will be dangerous to stay out, becouse of potential dangerous flying debris.

Weather model ALADIN simulated 925mb level average wind speed as high as 25 to more than 40m/s.

Weather model ALADIN simulated wind gusts at 10m heights are predicting gusts near or above 180km/h in SW Slovenia.

Are authorities concerned that fires could get out of control?  Of course, if snow is on the ground there probably need not be much concern over wild fires.
