Hail destruction in SE part of Slovenia

A large amount of hail has done a devastation on fields and vineyards on the 11.07.2011.

   That was some wicked hail :shock:!  I have not seen corn stalks like that for quite a few years around here and I hope I don't anytime soon [-o<.  Great pictures of a nasty situation. Do you have hail damage of that type very often there?

Slovenia has a lot of storms in the summer time. It is one of the most stormy countrys in the Europe, becouse we have Alps in the north with cold air and sea with warm air on the SW part of our country.  In the period of La Nina storms are more intensive, like tornado outbreak in the US.

Weather prediction is on high level for today.
A level 2 was issued for southern Austria, Croatia, and Slovenia mainly for large hail and excessive precipitation.

Wow, what a day was yesterday. I was storm chasing in the NE part of Slovenia. We catch a rekord - 6 supercells, wall clouds, funnels, etc.
Here are just two of two hundred photos of that day. No it is not High Plains in the US, it is Prekmurje in Slovenia, Europe.
