Here is the tag on camera received from XINRAY off Amazon. It has all the looks of the EXIR version will know for sure tonight.

South camera if interested in night vision.

Mark here is the 4 mm at night in the camera you ordered. I think it's the 80 meter IR version.
Not knocking the camera but, having both 4 and 6 mm lens with 2232. The 6 mm is little better both day and night, the dynamic range with lighting is better on the 6mm lens.

Mark you will need to make adjustments with the 4mm in settings. Very similar to the 2032 model, Put exposure speed to 1/12 speed. That speed looks better at night and still works good for daylight. I also increased the brightness to 65 from the 50 and tweaked other setting also. FYI the 6mm lens takes far less tweaking.

FYI the mounts being sent with the heavier EXIR 2232 are junk, they won't support with any stability, break easily. I've already done it.
I ordered these from monoprice for $5 each.  https://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=110&cp_id=11004&cs_id=1100402&p_id=6697&seq=1&format=2

What about the 12mm version? Will this give more zoom?

Yes it has. Joe has been trying to get up with them too without luck. Not sure what is going on with them. Yeah, it was rather warm today but you can keep that cold. Its April, should be warming up soon there?

Thanks for the heads up, Randy.  I still don't have the new cam, but am thinking it may get sent back.  I didn't realize your first picture was with the 6mm camera.  I am not using the cam as a weather camera but more to capture wildlife moving through the yard and I really liked the range of your 6mm camera.  We will see.

Tracked mine and it was in Denver this morning, so it should be here tomorrow or Wednesday.  Only problem, I am leaving on a four day fishing trip tomorrow morning, so I won't get it until Saturday.

CAPE WEATHER ----- Have you looked at the Hikvision DS-2CD2632F-I camera

I'm learning about the Hikvision, I have been using 4 Pelco Domes PTZ with a AXIS video server  - Please tell me what model Hikvision your using at Pineland Marina.

I also know some good things about a battery backup, because your on Pine Island the power will go up and down, and the rainy season is near rebooting is now a thing of the past for me.

Has anyone found a reliable seller that sells the Hikvision DS-2CD2232-I5 for a reasonable price with the US version of firmware and is upgradable?  The only ones I see on Amazon right now have 0-6 reviews with no more than 3 stars, and the questions that users ask about the item seem to be answered in broken english which makes me think that the units are the Chinese version.  Also, if you have found one, did it come with the Hikvision M12 mount or some other mount?  Those seem to be the issues and I'm interested in trying one of these cameras but I'm hesitant from the sellers I'm seeing on Amazon, at least.

piconut if the 50 meter IR is important make sure it specifies on camera as EXIR up to 50mm.  DS-2CD2232-I5 also comes in 30 meter IR. I wouldn't worry about it being American version the SADP software is in English. I would look more for latest firmware 5.2.5.
If you don't care about the night vision I would look at the DS-2CD2032-I if cheaper. I don't see any difference in the 4 mm image.
I like the 6mm lens slightly better than the 4mm. Seems a little clearer and handles lighting a little better. Nothing wrong with the 4mm but my favorite is the 6mm.
