Installed, tested and ready for tonight's 50% chance of showers

I have it all ready to go, wired to the house 12VDC system and a NovaLynx counter.

A few sprays of water from a sprayer bottle clocked up 0.007" of rain.

Wow, that thing is tiny.
You do NOT have the right to try to force another person to live THEIR life according to YOUR beliefs, unless you accept FULL RESPONSIBILITY for their actions.

So have you interfaced to the PC yet? or running it on the counter only?

I bought one but a simple check a while back of connecting it to the Ring Indicator on a COM Port did not trigger a change in state so maybe I need to spend more time and work out a circuit to count the pulses and then read them via a COM port or USB port.

All out of my knowlege area - but  having a forum could be good.

What did your counter system cost to setup?

Are you using normal CAT5 or an Exterior Cat 5?

My second RG-11 arrived yesterday and is installed and configured as an "It's raining" sensor.

Counter only right now. The new one will be connected to an input of one of my Home Automation controllers. I think eventually the first one will be repurposed as an irrigation controller.

Not counting the junction box, terminal strips and cable, just the $30 + tax and shipping to NovaLynx for the counter.
