The geography here is such that we are in a basin.

The NWS website does have coverage maps that show the signal strength at various locations, the signal strength is weak in every direction. I do not have the link but I am sure someone could post it.

Adding a roof top antenna is the solution, the problem is very very few people choose to do so.

Also, I am not sure.   Current outside tv antenna might do the trick if you have one.  The only problem you may not "get your local office".

Another busy late afternoon here with several tornado warnings.




The storms came through around rush hour.  I wonder if some of these listeners are in their cars using cell phones?   :-k


To think I had the batteries pulled out of my portable scanner providing the NOAA stream and was at work.  Tomorrows first order of business is to get a fresh set installed.   :oops:

Cells split North and South of us and only had a few quick flickers of the electric.

That's pretty cool!
It's been so long since we've had any severe weather down here...  :roll: Hate tornado's though. Glad it wasn't bad.

anything
