Flooding potential and watches/warnings for East TN
« on: March 01, 2018, 12:33:55 PM »
I have never noticed some of the wording, specifically "automated rain gauges" in these watches/warnings before.  I like to think that I'm contributing.  :)

Quote
At 1057 AM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that moderate to occasional heavy rain was falling over the area.  The heavy rain will cause flooding. Rainfall amounts of up to one  half inch has fallen in the past hour. Over one inch has fallen in parts of the area in the last 6 hours.
