WS-2902 disable wifi?
« on: February 24, 2018, 11:50:02 AM »
I have a WS-2902.
My display is plugged into the AC adapter and working.
I do not currently want to use wifi.
The wifi icon is flashing on the display.
Is there a way to disable the wifi and have this icon stop flashing?
I find it distracting like a VCR flashing 12:00 (if anyone knows what that is  :-) ).

I do not know the real answer but a piece of electrical tape will work. (NOT saying that I have used that solution)   [-(

I read a review on Amazon where someone complained of the same issue. The advice given in response was to just wait and the flashing should stop after while. If yours doesn't then perhaps you should connect it to the internet at least just momentarily to get the firmware /software updates. Then you can reset it and keep it off the Internet if you so desire.
