These were taken this afternoon on the University of Oklahoma campus near the National Weather Center and the Radar Innovations Laboratory. The Radar Innovations Laboratory is to the left in the panorama and the National Weather Center is in the center. The mesonet site is to the right.

What a coincidence, I was just out in Oklahoma to visit my daughter. She arranged for a visit to the National Weather Center. After we saw it, we drove around campus and I spotted this exact site. I was wondering if the data is available anywhere. I looked and could not seem to find data from this station.

I think this is it. http://mesowest.utah.edu/cgi-bin/droman/meso_base_dyn.cgi?stn=KOUN&unit=0&timetype=LOCAL

I saw that too, but on close inspection KOUN appears to be at the nearby Westheimer airport. I plugged the coordinates into Google Maps.

Yep, you're right. I though it weird that the station ID looked like an airport FAA identifier. No wonder. #-o

I've looked quite a bit but have never been able to find it. KOUN is the airport on the north side of town.

FWIW here is the official Mesonet site for Norman also at the airport.

It's possible that site is used for hardware/software testing.

Yeah, I wondered that too. Doubt it helps in windy conditions when asphalt heated air is drawn into the fan.

It's possible that site is used for hardware/software testing.

The young lady that conducted the Weather Center tour said that there was some meteorological equipment used for the students to learn about how it functions.

OU also has an Enterprise radar just to the east of the Radar Innovations Lab for research and student education opportunities. Unfortunately this article states the radar has been down since 2012 because of a lightning strike. ☹️
