Used to just say It's raining cats and dogs during a moderate rainfall rate.  5 inches per hour or something.

Now it shows that and also says "last 15 min of rain 0.xx"

Must have been something in the console firmware upgrade.  From Version 1.75 to 1.82.

If you have the firmware update file, open it in Notepad. Mostly it'll look like gibberish. However, search the text for "dogs", and you should find a block of text that contains all of these messages.

Search for "precipitation", and you should find a block with all of the forecast text strings.

After thinking about it again, it might not be new.  I changed the display from "RAIN MO" to "RAIN RATE" to see how hard it was raining.

That might have been what changed to "last 15 min of rain 0.xx"
